"Yeah right, sis. This flight is running on time, so I should be there about 12:50. Are you hungry? The inflight meal was horrible and I'm starving now. I could go for a big pile of bacon with the sloppy pile of pancakes." Pharoby glared at her growling stomach.

Evan grabbed the car keys and her wallet, "Yeah, sounds great." She tried to stifle the giggle that came when she could hear Pharoby's stomach from over the phone. Outside the night air was fresh, helping to clear her head.

"Right. Make fun of my poor stomach, Sis. See if I offer to pay for food again," Pharoby play-snorted at Evan.

Evan grinned, "Good, then I'll pay. And your "poor stomach" is easily capable of digesting a horse when it sounds like that." She unlocked the car door, got in before closing it behind her and starting up the engine.

"Phoey! Ok, sis. I'll see ya in a little bit." Pharoby turned off the phone after their conversation. She boarded the plane and headed to her seat, determined to get a little nap on the short jaunt back to their home airport. She wanted a clear head before she started that conversation with Evan.

The drive to the airport was a little shorter than Evan expected it to be. She parked, got inside and into the waiting area in record time. There weren't many people there at that hour of the morning to watch, so Evan picked up a magazine and thumbed through it.

Luckily the flight was uneventful for Pharoby. She hurried off the plane and found her baggage easily enough, keeping her mind quiet. She had spotted Evan. Course there was no mistaking her with her red hair. She practiced sneaking up on her through the concourse.
"Boo!" she said after sitting down beside her sister.

Evan jumped, only to glare at the person beside her before she realized it was Pharoby. "Ha ha." She hugged her sister, "Boo, to you too."

Pharoby hugged her back, a shiver going down her back. "Let's go. I'm evern more hungry, and I have a lot to tell you." She reached into her backpack. "Here's the tea I promised you!" she handed the package to Evan.

Evan sniffed, "Wow, smells good!" As they walked out to the car, Evan kept an eye on Pharoby. Something... wasn't quite right. She helped load Pharoby's bags, then drove to one of the good diners that was open that late. Soon they were seated at a table, with two orders of large breakfast platters on their way.

Pharoby dug in with great relish, enjoying the aromas of their breakfast. She ordered a 2nd platter about halfway through the first, as well as a pot of coffee, not looking at Evan when she did so. "The jungle breakfasts don't match up to to this." She said quietly as she waited for the 2nd plate of food, ignoring the looks the waitress was giving her.

Evan was starting to wonder if Pharoby had eaten at all during her trip. One plate had been plenty for her. She had to strangle a laugh when she noticed the waitresses expression when she came back. "I guess not."
Something certainly wasn't right. Pharoby was never this subdued except when something was wrong. "What's up?"

Pharoby sighed loudly. She pulled the letter out of her pocket and handed it to Evan.

Evan read the letter, then folded it back up and handed it back to Pharoby. She stated the obvious first, "I don't like it. I REALLY don't like it." The last part of the letter was odd...

Pharoby sighed again. "I was not always a good citizen, Evan. I was used by "the bear" since he took me from the tea house when I think I was about 8. About 200 of them were before I met you..." She paused to let that fact sink in.
