Pharoby made it home safely and with nobody following her. She slipped into their house via the door from the backyard. A bluish light told her that Evan was typing on her laptop. She tiptoed past Evan's room and headed straight for the shower.
After her shower, she opened her laptop and checked her messages. There was a response to the one earlier. She groaned as she read the contents; it meant no study time for the next few days. Finding a scrap of paper, she wrote something down for Evan. Knocking on Evan's door, she paced.

Evan looked up from the laptop at Pharoby's knocking, instantly out of her typing trance. She got up from her bed, stifling a groan at her stiff muscles as she saved the document and shut the laptop down. Opening the door she walked out, stopping as she saw Pharoby's pacing. Evan's mouth closed on what she was going to say and simply waited for Pharoby to explain.

Pharoby braced herself for Evan's response to what she was going to say next, "Evan, my professor emailed me. She has an interview lined up for me outside of Manaeus. My flight leaves at 8 am for Rio. I'll be gone about a week to 10 days. Can you take me to the airport?" Pharoby had never learned to drive a car yet. She hated leaving Evan at a time like this, especially since the interview was only part of the reason she was going to Brazil.

Evan clamped down on her empathy immediately, lest she project her severe dislike of the timing. "Sure." Pharoby could take care of herself... probably. She glanced back in her room, reading the time on her alarm clock. 6 AM. Wonderful. Evan sighed, trying to be mature about this. "Want some breakfast before you go?"

"Sure. Want some of those pancakes and sausages from the waffle place? My treat?" Pharoby pulled out the slip of paper. "If any thing should delay me, go here." She said evasively before running to gather her things together for her quick trip (laptop, carryon bag, backpack, money, and a few other things). She wanted to get going before Evan talked her out of it.

Evan took the paper, in an even glummer mood, and was about to say something as Pharoby went off. Growling she went back to her room and got dressed in black jeans, black t-shirt and black leather hikers.
If Pharoby wanted to go off and do something butt-headed and mysterious, fine. If she got hurt there would be hell to pay, and if Pharoby got killed… No, that wasn’t going to happen. She sighed again resting the top of her head against the back of the door. Before something inevitably happened to the paper she quickly read the information several times over, memorizing it. Then she grabbed her wallet, stuffed the paper in it, walked to the kitchen and grabbed the car keys off the refrigerator, waiting for Pharoby to finish packing.

Pharoby came out dressed and ready really quick with her stuff. Sensing Evan was unhappy with her, she tried to make her departure as pleasant as possible, babbling on about the area she was headed to in the Amazonia. "This summer, I can take you back down there. We can go shopping at the cute native markets and then hike through the woods."

Evan was finding it hard to stay angry, though the concern stayed firmly in place. She helped Pharoby load her stuff in the back of the little hybred, trying to keep the corners of her mouth firmly downwards as she drove. The attempt failed when an odd stray thought popped into her head, What, do I need to call the Dog Whisperer?
She sighed as she pulled into the parking lot of the breakfast place, parking the car and shutting off the engine. Evan waited a moment, and then faced Pharoby. "Just... please stay safe."

"Safe? Of course, Evan. I'll stay safe. I promise. I know my way around the Amazon like the back of my hand, and I know most of the dialects and idioms, so I won't be saying 'I want to kill you' instead of 'Yes, the tea is fine.'" She opened the door for them. "I'm not going to do anything stupid either. Just collect the language samples from this backwood farmer and be bored out of my skull with all the fancy dress and meeting every single relative of his within a fifty mile radius." They sat in one of the booths. She gave their order to the hovering waitress. "Coffee for me and a pot of tea for her. Two of the breakfast specials with extra meat on both." She waited for the waitress to walk away before continuing. "No fights, no sniping." Pharoby vaguely refered to her life before meeting Evan. They had talked a few times about it, without going into great detail. Their plates soon came and they ate quickly.

Evan was more at ease when they left; still, she was going to miss her sister. Not that she didn't have an idea as to what to do with the time... She'd finally found more files pertaining to the training base she had been at until she was ten. Hopefully there was a location listed in the long file.
When the traffic became heavier as they neared the airport, Evan started watching for loony drivers. Soon enough, they had gone through the maze of parking lots and found a spot reasonably close.

Pharoby grabbed her belongings and went inside. She walked up to the ticket counter and showed her passport to the clerk there to pick up her ticket and boarding pass. That securely in her hands, she turned back to find Evan waiting for her.
"I'll try to call every evening, if I can. Sometimes those satilliete phones can't get a signal out though. And I have my laptop, so you can email if you'd like." Pharoby steered them to through the security and into the waiting area. "My flights at 10:30. If you'd like to stay, or go. I know how much you like waiting rooms." Pharoby rolled her eyes at a memory of Evan at the rehab clinic years ago, sending the image to her sister, with a mental chuckle.

Evan also rolled her eyes at the image, smirking at Pharoby. "Was it that embarassing to you?" Her tone wasn't very questioning, though she was visibly amused. "As long as it isn't packed, or tiny, I'll be fine." She really didn't want a repeat of the situation herself. Besides, she could practice her physioempathy a little; make some people smile, move a few hands.

"It wasn't embarrassing to me. I found it quite amusing to see everybody run around like chickens with their heads cut off." Pharoby chuckled lightly. "It made my time there worth the while." She showed her boarding pass to the agent in the waiting area.

Evan smiled at her sister, then sighed as she saw some kids sitting with their tired parents, whining about being bored. Easy enough to fix. She concentrated on the emotions from the children, focusing on them specifically, then broadcasted a calm tiredness. The complaining stopped almost immediately. Evan took a seat, and peered out the large window overlooking the air field.

All too soon her flight was called, and Pharoby stood up and gave her sister a hug goodbye. She doubled checked to see that she had everything. "I'll try to call every evening, or everyother depending on how deep into the jungle I am," she promised Evan. "And I'll be checking my email often! So you'll have ways of getting ahold of me. Do you remember the number?"
