Project Lupus
Objective: Inject pre-fertilized embryos, using wolf genes as control, into subjects and study results
Results: 4 subject designated WLF1, WLF2, WLF3, WLF4
WLF1 – male, stillborn at 7 months 1987
WLF2—female, stillborn at 6 months, 1987
WLF3—male, stillborn, fullterm, early 1988
WLF4—female, fullterm, 1/20/1988
Current location: unknown, family moved away shortly after birth
Embryos frozen in anticipation of further research
Project closed in 3/1988 due to 75% failure rate
1989 – researcher happened upon an additional subject while in North Japan. However mother subject is a 14 y.o. geisha girl and hopelessly addicted to anything that comes her way. Should be no problem securing the infant once it is old enough.
May 1990 – infant born, healthy. Was able to get a dna sample before nurses suspected.
Confirmed dna match to WLF4. genetically twins. Even though two years separate the two in age.
May 1995 – attempted to find WLF5 upon hearing of mother’s overdose death. Unsuccessful.
2003—reports coming in from Brazil of an oriental female with unusually blue eyes. Must confirm if this is WLF5.
2004 – still reports, but not confirmation of WLF5 presence in Brazil.
